The Secondary Air Injection anti-lag kit from Brewed Motors is a complete kit intended to be used with in conjunction with a stand alone engine management system. We offer a complete Motec M1 ECU package to support rally style anti-lag, we also support a number of other ECU’s to for Anti-lag tuning however the Motec M1 is the best option. For tuning and set up please contact our team.
Brewed Motorsports Secondary Air Injection ALS kit includes:
- ALS high flow control valve
- ALS electric control solenoid
- VE ALS male high pressure weld on manifold fittings
- VE hard lines/plumbing with Female high pressure fittings
- VE soft lines (some applications replaced with all hard lines)
- VE Check valve for ALS control valve
Common uses for Anti-lag include rally, time attack and drifting where drivers require instant response and peak boost any time they apply the throttle. Our kits can be fine tuned for mild boost response or tuned extremely aggressive for those drivers that really want to blow the competition away. Fully rebuild-able with cost effective parts our ALS kits have become a must have for any serious turbo build.
Below is a quote from the Brewed Motorsports blog explaining how the ALS valve works, we strong recommend reading the full story here: Brewed Anti lag systems explained Brewed Motors is currently using the Secondary Air injection Anti-lag system on our Turbo S13 normally used for drifting.
Secondary Air Injection Explained:
“Rally style ALS are slightly more complicated, there are also a few different techniques used to get the desired results. I will only be touching on the secondary injection style anti lag as this has proven to work VERY well for our Brewed projects as well as 90% of WRC cars (Toyota, Subaru and Mitsubishi just to name a few). By introducing oxygen and fuel (in the proper mixture) directly into the exhaust manifold pre turbo you can produce combustion similar to the drag style ALS without moving the oxygen through the engine (the throttle plate can be closed or at a very low angle such as lifting off the throttle while cornering) This is the perfect way to lower the amount of stress on the engine/exhaust valves when compared to the drag style ALS as well as provide instant response when reapplying the throttle after lifting. Thanks to the WRC regulations many OEM cars actually came factory with this style of ALS however they were “tuned” off from the factory for the public. Cars such as the Evolution and All Trac Celica could simply re map the ECU or use a standalone EMS and activate the OEM ALS!”

Don’t miss the You Tube videos of the Brewed ALS in action. Below are a few of our favorite examples of Brewed Anti-lag systems hard at work on a 2JZ, 4G63 and KA24. Perfect examples of how aggressive and how mild these kits can be set up and tuned depending on the drivers requirements.

Please contact us with any questions, keep in mind these are complicated systems that require proper tuning and maintenance. While it is possible to have a secondary air injection system on a street car you will also need all the supporting hardware and ECU/EMS.
