Bring your Nissan S13s SR20DET to life with the Tomei ProCam intake cam. This cam features a 260 duration lobe with hefty 12mm of lift. This is a perfect cam for a small to mid size turbo on an engine looking for good power in the 3500-6500rpm range. We have seen a few people get away with running this cam on stock springs and retainers although we HIGHLY recommend using this BC spring and titanium retainer kit with this intake cam for best results and no risk of floating a valve.
Not sure what exhaust cam to run? For best results we recommend matching the intake and exhaust cams (260 intake and 260 exhaust) however if you feel you may benefit from a miss match don’t hesitate to ask our tuner or engine builder for advice.
For those looking to do a full cylinder head build be sure to contact us and speak to one of our tuners or engine builders about the best possible camshafts, valve train and head work aka port & polish for your engine build. Our engine builders are here to ensure you get the best combination of parts that will work together and get the most reliable power out of your engine build. We will need to know; What type of driving you do, What turbo/manifold will be used, what fuel and of course what budget?
The cams were maximized so that adjustable cam sprockets may not be required. If you are needing a longer duration or higher lift camshaft check out the Tomei ProCam options which can be purchased separately for intake and exhaust allowing you to create the combo that will work for you and the power band you’re after. If you have any questions be sure to contact us and speak with a tuner or engine builder!
TIP: Check out the blog for a detailed write up on the ultimate “dual guided shim” setup for your SR20. This is the best way to keep rocker arms and shims happy and in place at 9000+ RPM. This is hands down one of the best things you can do to your cylinder head unless you are planning to go the SR20VE head route.
